Sari Silk Scarf
Three Whisker's Farm
Made from soft, thick, feather light sari silk mixed with generous amounts of soft brown chunky wool. Ribbons are hand torn from remnants of high quality silk sari fabrics, vintage and new. Many of my collection are imported from Fair Trade women's cooperatives in India and Nepal helping to empower and support women and children.
"I hand crochet and knit these ribbons into beautiful one of a kind neck pieces and never tire from working with such gorgeous materials. Great transition scarf into fall and winter. I love wearing these with a t-shirt and jeans as a quick way to add style."
"I am madly in love the feel and touch of the all natural, hand dyed, hand spun, wools that I work into my knitting while listening to the birds in summer or sitting by the fire in winter, feeling the reassuring presence of my grandmothers before me in the comforting act of knitting. Sometimes I like to pretend they are yarns hand spun by woodland fairies that live behind our meadow that I am magically transforming into one of a kind wearables with love."
